The hotel Los Sueños Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort is located in Playa Herradura in Jacó, about 3 hours away from the capital (San Jose).As most Marriott hotels, the customer service is pretty good. The hotel has a beautiful infrastructure. The decoration of the rooms, as well as the lobby, and other public areas are exotic, romantic, and well decorated. The hotel has 6 restaurants and lounges,
- Casa del Cafe: Grab and go food and beverages.
- Puesta del Sol: A pub perfect for cocktails. Menu
- La Vista: Eat international food overlooking at the pool deck. Lunch Menu, Desserts Menu, & Dinner Menu
- Arrecife Pool Bar & Grill: Pool side and swim up bar where you can get a variety of snacks. Menu
- Nuevo Latino: Refined latin american cuisine. Menu
- Hoyo 19: Eat at the fountain patio a variety of international plates. Menu
I believe this is a good option for honeymoons or someone that wants a relaxing vacations. If what you are looking for is for adventures or meet new single people, the hotel Los Sueños Marriot Ocean & Golf Resort is most likely not going to be the place. There is a romantic atmosphere at Los Suenos. It looks like there is some kind of romance story behind every decoration (My favorite was the boat in the lobby with 100 love letters around it). I will say that about 90% of the guests that were staying when I went were couples. The beach at Los Sueños is not beautiful. The sand is dark as well as the water; however the view is magnificent. If you are planning to surf, you would have to drive to go to the other side of the beach.
The hotel is located in an area, Jacó, that there is not much nightlife or much exciting things to do. You might want to rent a car to get around. The restaurants in Jacó are quite expensive, and I believe in some restaurants that I went to (outside of Los Suenos), they tend to give a menu with higher prices to the tourists. I paid $16 dollars for an American breakfast in a regular looking restaurant outside of the hotel. Girls be careful of walking at night time in the streets; prostitution is high in this town. No many things to see outside of the hotel. Most of the major attractions of Costa Rica are around hours away from Jacó.Additional Information about Los Suenos:

Los Sueños Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort is a good option for: couples, golfers, or anyone that just want to relax and enjoy the beauty of its installations and amenities.
Do not go to Los Sueños Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort: if you like to explore and see interesting places, want to go out at night or explore a town, single-friends trip, or if you are looking to do adventurous activities.
